good Friday

Mark is dictating this. I'm baaaaack. Got most of my tubes out and feeling pretty human now. They switched me to a regular diet, but we are taking it pretty easy. Applesauce....livin la vida loca. Sheila has been great and taking good care of me. Something is beeping. gotta go. More later

from sheila....good thing yall skipped the moon, don't know how that would have worked with Mark's stitches.

Hey guys.....sorry I have not written yet but I just found out the blog site from mom today. Anyway, just wanted you to know that everyone was keeping me posted but wanted to send word myself that all of my thoughts and prayers are focused on both of you!! I really missed having you guys at the b-day party....mom made us wear sombreo's bc it was a Mexican theme, we looked great! I also missed all of the terrible jokes I am sure Uncle Mark would have made on our behalf in that situation! I love you both very much and admire everyday the strength and courage you guys have shown everyday for the past 5 years, I only hope that you both realize how much you mean to me. Love ya'll and talk to you soon

glad you are feeling better and pain issues are managed. we had a great practice today in the 'fly' and you could hear the group bringing up your name and now saying 'it's time to start teasing him or giving him a hard time. Ah, yes, hospital food as Lynda brought up...the memories of rice and mystery meat, pudding, glorious pudding, and those crisp vegtebles....it's a wonder patients don't walk more, cough more, and report 'I passed gas' whoopie...jello.......just to have the opportunity to eat from the culinary feast that is provided for the small group of gourmands. Sheila, thank-you for being an incredible wife and nurse for our boy.

Hi Mark and Sheila,
Dr. Sonny O sends his regards. I have the picture of the 2 of you on my computer at work and he asked that I send you and Mark his best wishes.

So glad to hear about how well you are doing Mark!!! Hey Sheila soon you can bring in the dragon boat paddle and let Mark start practicing his stroke while sitting in bed. What great exercise as he recovers!!!!

Paddles up!!!

Get better soon and come home soon! From the recent comments you better get home fast, before Surge gets themselves in trouble :-)

Hugs, Chris and Alice

Hey,Mark and Sheila...First day back in the 'Fly' in almost a month on a beautiful gray morning...8:00 start no-less. Relieved to have the stoke still working after all that time away, and Cindy only had to tell me to keep up on timing once. You would have loved seeing us showing off for DBC and the new team with the tap tap, raise the paddle over your head, and paddle paddle routine...quite impressive once we go the hang of it. It was great to be back! Oh yes, your name came up a lot. Glad to hear that things are going so well... Walking, eating, and dictating messages...Man you are so on your way!!! You have to watch that paddling in bed though when the paddle arrives, it can become addictive...I know, I do it all the time.
Sheila, the blog has been wonderful. You are amazing and thanks so much!!!
Till next time. Prayers and hugs to you both. P.

OK... I just found out that it was Cindy's idea to do the group moon. Now you can see what Becca and I are up against around here.

Mark I'm so happy you are feeling up to hospital food and dictation. I went to see my friends in Columbia last night (Colin is 6 and Camden is 4) and they wanted to know what M-A-R-K spelled on my bracelet. I told them it spelled "one incredible man". They may not do too well on future spelling tests;)

Thank you so much for the gift of the blog... it's such a wonderful way to feel connected to you both.

Much love,
Liz
