first report

Every two hours. a nurse comes out and gives a report. My greatest fear has been that the doctor would open him up and see so much cancer that he would just close him back up. My sister went with me to the little room where they give the report. I think my heartrate was about 149. Happily. the main surgeon has been in there two hours and everything is fine. I think I can breathe again.

I know MD Anderson is taking good care of Mark and you Sheila. Have you been in the chapel yet? I hear it is beautiful.

Much love

Below various comments from people when they heard about the sunrise meditation...

Lynda:I promise to look out at my lake and hold a good thought for him.

Lindsey:I can't make it! Bummer. I have a meeting. But I will be
thinking of mark and sending good karma his way all day!

Dianna: I would love to join the group but cant get downtown that early .... I will however meditate and pray at home at 7:15 am Tuesday and let my thoughts join with yours while they float out to Mark & Sheila :)

Suzi: I was there in spirit.

Bonne O:I'll be praying for him the whole time he's gone.

Polly: I never thought of Mark
as the Cancer guy. I know he has been through more than his share,
but I always thought of him as just a damm hard coach and a great
person to be around, not to mention really good in the boat...kinda
an icon. I will be there on Tuesday morning for sure. Life is so precious and prayers can really make a difference!!!

Corinne: I am so sorry to miss it. Please be sure to give my best. I will be thinking of them. Hope my vibes will reach them. Also, would you please send my thanks to everyone on the SURGE team for all their kindness and welcome to me over the summer and early fall. I SHALL BE BACK! They were my saving grace over a difficult time. THANKS to ALL!

Hopefully we will be returning for good (retirement) come March or June so you will all be stuck with me then. I am going to try to get my husband Bill to join up also.

Hi Honey... so glad to hear Mark looks as good on the inside as he does on the outside!

We prayed so hard for him this morning and the prayers continue now!

I hope you can feel the love... we certainly felt yours and Mark's this morning.

Love you both so.

PS Mark is in my shirt right now... but then you are too, so, enjoy!!!!
