slow progress

We are moving towards removing the NG tube. First step: gravity drainage instead of suction. We did that for the last 24 hours and it did not cause Mark any extra pain. Next step: Clamp the tube. That is where we are now. We had an option of pulling the thing out altogether this morning, but we decided the conservative route (probably the first/last time Mark and I can be considered conservative). We want to wait until there is output first. Mark has had two emergent NG placements, and that is enough, thank you very much. He is starting back on sips of juice and water. Keep your fingers crossed.

Going forward is a good thing regardless of the slow pace.
Keep it up.
Much love and hugs,

Hey Mark and Sheila,
Einstein and Trouble want to let you know that everything is going very well here. The three of us think about you everyday, sending lots of positive vibes and woof woofs!

Mark,

Your Dad gave us an update on you yesterday at Sertoma, and please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers! Keep your wonderful, positive spirit and take it one day at a time (or less!).

Mark, you truly are an inspiration. I love your quote about how to tell who your friends really are (a plus side of cancer)! You have many who care about you so much!

Take good care of yourself (you, too, Sheila)!

Sorry for the replacement of the NG and good call on the conservative plan - hope to hear the tube is out soon!
We will continue to think of you both and try to do a good job of keeping our site updated. 2 medals today for Lynda!

Mark,

It sounds like your are making remarkable progress. Your strength and courage is inspirational. Hang in there while your body take the time it needs to heal.

We missed you at this year's Classic, but will expect your full participation at the 40th. It will be a big celebration. See you back in Charleston very soon.

Michael
