Made it

Arrived in Houston safe and sound! The hotel can't take me until 3 this
afternoon, so I need to find some place to hang. Looks like the mall is
my best bet...

Hey Mark,
I've had your blog on my home page, but condensed it - so didn't realize it was active again until Edie sent out an email. Sending you all the positive energy I can muster for a successful operation and recovery.
Thanks for entertaining and informing is w/ your tests - I think I can pass the MCAT's now. :-)
Tons of hugs to you and Sheila

Dearest Mark, You are my inspiration. Thank you so much for this blog and including all of us in your journey. We need you to hurry up and get well and get back to Charleston, Cindy is torturing us but then again what is better your torture or Cindy's.........hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm not so sure about that :-) On Monday the tide was so high we couldn't get under the bridge so we practiced starts back and forth and back and forth. Poor Hazel had to steer and you know that song that Artie sings about Hazel is so true she does go around and around in circles :-) Just kidding Hazel! It was a great place to work on our starts...short starts but it was still starts. We got through 6-10 then reach it out but the RIO as Cindy calls them were only about 15 paddles long before we hit the other side. It was kind of like that pong game.

Dang this site I wasn't finished with my comment and poof it published it. Maybe my comments were getting too long. Anyway, we miss our coach and we want you back soon so do what the doctor tells you to do, know that you are in our hearts and in our minds as we all send postive vibes your way. We love you Mark and Sheila. Hugs, Alice and Chris

Mark, we DO miss you on the purple boat, and we're still trying to perfect those strokes and rotate from the hip as Cindy cracks the whip...hoping to make you proud. The stories about making tight circles and 6-10-ROI-Whoa's on Monday are true. You are great to include us in this process with the graphic details. As bad as they can be, they are still better than leaving us to our imaginations, you know? My prayers for you are for a safe, successful surgery leading to a much higher quality of life. God bless you!
